Admissions Process

Step by step guide to the Port Regis Admissions Process

Step One
  • Enquiry made via Port Regis School website or phone call
  • Prospectus sent
  • Arrange to visit Port Regis School
Step Two
  • Individual family tour of Port Regis School or attend the Open Morning to meet the Headmaster, staff, pupils and experience the school facilities
  • The Headmaster meets the prospective child(ren) during a visit for a brief interview/chat
Step Three
  • Registration form completed and sent in with fee; this does not guarantee the offer of a place at school but will ensure a place on the admissions list ahead of further applicants
  • Waiting lists may be in operation in some year groups
  • Individual entry assessment tests arranged within the academic year prior to a September arrival or in the term before anticipated mid-year entry
  • Alternatively, Taster Day available to include day or boarding experience (if appropriate) in which the entry assessment tests can be organised
Step Four
  • Reports required from previous school and any other relevant information
  • Formal letter from Headmaster offering a place will be made in writing which includes our Terms & Conditions and a request for confirmation fee (refundable against the final term’s invoice)
  • A Port Regis ‘Joining Pack’ containing all appropriate school information is received prior to the pupil starting at Port Regis School
Step Five
  • New pupil invited to Experience Day in the second half of the summer term to meet new peers and families prior to starting in September
